Theatrical Outfit LIVE at the Balzer Presents

Sid! A New Musical in Development

Sid!'s First Atlanta Musical Reading & Fundraiser
Saturday, August 15 • Noon & 5 pm Seatings

The new musical Sid! Make Me One with Everything is a contemporary spiritual journey that follows Sid from his conformist 1950s childhood through the counterculture of the 1960s, Eastern spirituality, material success, addiction, religious fundamentalism, and ultimately to space – where he experiences enlightenment by recognizing his true nature as consciousness itself.

Our hero Sid believes he can find his true identity and meaning through external experiences, achievements, spiritual practices, and other people’s approval.

He discovers that true identity and fulfillment come not from accumulating experiences or following prescribed paths, but from recognizing the consciousness that experiences everything – the space in which all experience occurs.

Sid transforms from someone desperately seeking identity through external means (success, spirituality, relationships, substances) to someone who realizes he is the awareness itself – “losing his head and gaining the universe.”

All this is achieved through memorable songs, humor, and a quirky love story, culminating in an outer space experience.

Theatrical Outfit’s Live at the Balzer will host the Atlanta premiere reading of Sid! Make Me One With Everything, a new musical comedy, on Saturday, August 15, 2026, as part of its Live at the Balzer series at 84 Luckie Street NW, Atlanta, GA 30303.

Two performances will be held — 12:00 p.m. to 2:45 p.m. and 5:00 p.m. to 7:45 p.m. — each followed by a 15-minute audience Q&A with Joey Davila, Theatrical Outfit’s Audience Engagement Manager. The event is a fundraiser as well as a reading, inviting theater audiences who love funny, high-vibe musicals that meet the cultural moment to help bring Sid! to its next stage of development.
