DENVER, COLORADO — Blue Pearl Production LLC, a Denver-based company, is a recipient of Denver Arts & Venues (DAV) Denver Music Advancement Fund, to produce, record, and now launch the 1st of seven (7) podcast episodes of unique, powerful, live poetry, spoken-word, and improvised music podcast currently titled: LIVE POETRY MUSIC JAM – on Sunday April 16th!
To honor this special occasion, we are inviting the general public to a “Live Poetry Music Jam Podcast Launch Celebration” event from 4-6 p.m. at the famed Mercury Cafe (2199 California Street, Denver). Immediately following the “Podcast Launch Celebration”, we will record the eighth (8th) podcast of the LIVE POETRY MUSIC JAM from 6-8 p.m. Podcast hosts are spoken-word performers PoetSeth, and co-host Racine Frank – and the public is cordially invited to be a part of our live studio audience!
These live podcasts recordings feature the JAM B4 THE SLAM and POETRY SLAM spoken-word artists with performances by more than 30 local poets and musicians performing on the live poetry, spoken-word and musically improvised jam podcast sessions. The live music is created by Art Compost & The Word Mechanics band, an improvisational group that boasts the names of countless Denver musicians and special guests who have sat in on the improvised poetry and music jam sessions over the years.
The Jam B4 The Slam started in 2000, and has been held every Sunday from 6-8 p.m. at the Mercury Cafe (MercuryCafe.com). PoetSeth co-founded Jam B4 The Slam with Ted Vaca, Rosanne Frechette, and others 22 years ago! The Jam B4 The Slam precedes the POETRY SLAM, which is held every Sunday 8-10 p.m., hosted by Changa Hernandez and Elijah Lynch, performers on the 1st episode of the LIVE POETRY MUSIC JAM podcast.
These events are held at the Mercury Cafe and open to the general public – no entry cost to attend these performances.
