I’m Phillip DiPietro, Creative Director and Producer at Blue Pearl Production, a Denver-based production company.
After experiencing the vibrant Denver-Boulder Poetry Scene, and mesmerized by the Mercury “Jam B4 the Slam” artists, I realized that these lyrical moments spoke to a global audience of listeners everywhere.
Thus, the Live Mercury Jam podcast was born!
We thank the amazing Mercury Cafe Founder, Marilyn Megenity; Host, PoetSeth, who created the Jam B4 The Slam 22 Years ago in Artistic Collaboration with Slam Poets Ted Vaca and Roseanna Frechette; Co-Host Racine Frank; countless other local Poets; Spoken-Word creators; the many Art Compost & Word Mechanics musicians; the amazing Denver-Boulder community of Spoken-Word Artists, Musicians; and the incredibly supportive Mercury Cafe servers, artists & audiences.
We welcome and encourage all new and seasoned poets and spoken-word creators to come join us on the stage, whether it’s your first time in front of a live audience or you’ve performed with PoetSeth and the Art Compost & Word Mechanics band a hundred times!
