Producer Phillip Di Pietro has created Blue Pearl Production LLC to produce a new musical, a new live music podcast, and to develop new arts & culture programming and documentary ideas for PBS. 

The musical SID, AN INNER & OUTER SPACE ODYSSEY by writer & composer Rob Ward is currently under development. The first workshop for SID has taken place, along with a private theater industry First Look presentation Feb 25-26, 2023 in the Founders Room within The Ellie Caulkins Opera House of the Denver Arts Complex.

Di Pietro is also the producer for a new Podcast Series entitled MERCURY JAM LIVE, recorded live in Denver at the Mercury Cafe. The podcast received a 2022 Grant from Denver Arts & Venues. The first podcast presentation takes place for distributors and sponsors at the PODCAST MOVEMENT CONFERENCE, 3/7-10, 2023, in Las Vegas. The Podcast launches in March 2023, streaming worldwide. 

Earlier in his producing career, Di Pietro developed & workshopped the new musical VINYL (Musical Theater Works, NYC). This workshop production was renamed & produced as the Broadway hit SMOKEY JOE’S CAFE: THE MUSIC OF LEIBER & STOLLER, directed by Jerry Zaks. 

At the personal invitation of Broadway Composer Richard Adler, Di Pietro was also an original Associate Producer for the San Diego Old Globe pre-Broadway production of a DAMN YANKEES revival directed by Jack O’Brien. 

Di Pietro developed a multimedia rock musical entitled MARILYN: THE ROCKUMENTARY, also created by his friend, writer & composer Rob Ward.

In addition to producing and directing, Di Pietro has had a long, distinguished career as an actor in New York City and Atlanta (SAG, AEA). Di Pietro also enjoyed a Creative and Technical background in New York City, working on over 100 Broadway, Off-Broadway, TV,  Film, Commercial, and Music Video productions as a card member of the esteemed Broadway Local 1 Stagehands, IATSE, NYC.
